Maros Regency Government and Lintasarta Collaborate to Launch Super App as The Continuity of Smart City Development

4 Jun 2022

Maros, 4 June 2022 – Lintasarta, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) total solution company, with Maros Regency Government launches a super app as the next step of digitizing the region and the implementation of Smart City. The super app launching process was held in a form of a folk festival during the Bantimurung Keren event located in the parking lot of Bantimurung Waterpark and attended by the Maros Regent Andi Syafril Chaidir Syam, S.I.P., M.H., thousands of residents, and as well as top musicians for three days from 3 to 5 June 2022.

Named after its regency, Super Maros is a super app for the region’s inhabitants/tourists digital service that includes the latest information portal about Maros Regency. This super app is expected to facilitate and improve services to the community as well as a form of digital transformation carried out by the Maros Regency Government.

“Approximately one year, Lintasarta and Maros Regency Government had been intensively powering through to prepare the newly launched Super Maros application. Super Maros, hopefully, will be able to address the demand of Maros inhabitants or tourists, and all can be done in one hand,” said Baginda PH Simbolon, Lintasarta East Indonesia Region Senior Vice President.

Some of the benefits offered by the apps are to manage population documents that are connected to the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dukcapil) of Maros Regency, bill payments such as electricity, PDAM, and BPJS through various types of digital payment methods such as OVO, bank transfer (Bank Mandiri & Bank BNI) and QRIS, purchase credit and mobile data packages, and purchase travel tickets.

In realizing Super Maros, Lintasarta together with the Maros Regency Government thoroughly understand the needs of the Maros inhabitants so that the implementation of a Smart City can be human-centered.

“The smart city solution from Lintasarta, also known as SKOTA by Lintasarta, is not only providing the technology and infrastructure but also another comprehensive solution from the beginning until the end. SKOTA by Lintasarta will include masterplan, IT infrastructures, data integration solution, change management, and the socialization to the community,” said Baginda.

Smart City has become an important part of the Indonesian government’s policy. Communications and Information Ministry (Kominfo) launched the 100 Smart City program in Indonesia in 2017, together with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of PANRB, and Bappenas. Since then, more and more city governments have wanted to create a smart city in their area with a human-centered approach.

Smart cities are often viewed as technocentric (technology-centered). This is not surprising, because technology, especially ICT, has indeed become an important part that distinguishes smart cities from ordinary cities. For example, one definition is “information technology-based urban development”.

Lintasarta will continue to assist the government in Indonesia by providing ICT solutions to develop Indonesia’s economy and find the best strategy possible for the development of Smart City.
