Lintasarta, has officially launched the AI Merdeka initiative. This groundbreaking movement reinforces Lintasarta’s role as the AI Factory of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) Group and reflects its dedication to accelerating AI adoption for Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045. Under the theme “Accelerating AI Adoption for Indonesia Emas 2045,” AI Merdeka aims to develop highly skilled digital talent and foster the creation of innovative AI solutions, driving Indonesia’s leadership in the global digital landscape.

AI Merdeka is a collaboration between Indosat, Lintasarta, and ecosystem partners, designed to create a sustainable impact on Indonesia’s digital landscape. The core programs of AI Merdeka include:
- Laskar AI: A scholarship program focused on developing AI expertise in Machine Learning and Data Science. This initiative aims to create developers capable of leveraging AI for innovative solutions. Lintasarta collaborates with Dicoding, a leading tech education platform, to develop globally competitive digital talent, positioning Indonesia at the forefront of AI adoption.
- In partnership with its ecosystem partners, Lintasarta provides world-class training to create globally competitive digital talent and prepare Indonesia to lead in AI adoption.
- Semesta AI: A platform for startups and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to develop AI-powered solutions, driving innovation across various sectors.

The launch event gathered hundreds of attendees, such as students and lecturers from leading universities, collaborators, startup enthusiasts and ISVs in the country, including notable national figures and distinguished guests from ecosystem partners’ representatives and government officials, such as Vice Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria, and Vice Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar. The discussions focused on accelerating AI adoption and the importance of preparing digital talent to meet the demands of the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision.
Through AI Merdeka movement, Lintasarta aims to contribute to the Indonesian Government’s vision of maximizing the benefits of technology to drive sustainable digital economic progress, strengthening Indonesia’s leadership in the global digital landscape. In addition to discussions and keynote speeches, the Laskar AI and Semesta AI programs featured special sessions, including a detailed presentation of Lintasarta’s AI Talent Development Program and a workshop on Generative AI (GenAI) led by ecosystem partners.
